The right pad choice is again critical for a good printing quality. Apart from the pad quality (does the pad have any cracks, dents or enclosed air bubbles?) there are four determining factors:
Printing International can produce over 4 000 different pad models To obtain a perfect print without print deformation it is important to use the right pad shape. A range of approved models is illustrated in our pad catalogue.
The pads are made in different silicone qualities, identified by their own colour:
Yellow: Standard quality, appropriate to be used with several ink types.
Red: For high-output machines and especially for printing onto objects with smooth surfaces. Recommended for rotary pad printing.
White: For high-output machines and for printing onto objects with sharp edges.
The amount of silicone oil in the silicone determines the hardness. We can supply all pads in different hardnesses.
The pads can be moulded on three types of support bases:
Wooden base with or without threaded holes
Aluminium base with threaded holes
Steel base for a magnetic fixation with positioning holes for dowel pins
A good print quality starts with the choice of the right pad. Send us the object you wish to print and let our technical knowledge and experience determine the appropriate shape, the right quality and hardness of the pad.
For rotary printing solutions we offer also pads as sleeves.
